Application for Contraceptive Eligibility (ACE) was implemented by Parallel Threads for the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. The app is a decision making tool for health care providers. Implemented using the Android SDK, ACE adapts content from the World Health Organization’s Family Planning Handbook and needed to meet stringent accuracy constraints. Our mobile development team implemented designs provided by Forum One.

Milieu is our most recent project and is still under active development. “Milieu: Real World Social Networking” is a social networking app that connects people with those around them. Using Milieu, people can create profiles that share information about themselves and view the profiles of those nearby. Milieu is a native Android app that leverages the Drupal CMS. Parallel Threads managed every aspect of the Milieu project. Our design team created the original wireframes and designed the user interface. Our development team implemented both the website and the android app designs. Milieu uses the Android platform extensively making aggressive use of caching, GPS, and web services.
